Gain structure- Gain is not volume

Insight from The Cove Church’s, Michael Conda

The first time I went to The Cove Church I was blown away by the lighting. The team was worshiping to the song called The Way. In the middle of this song, there is a great musical break and then a BAMP moment when the band kicks back in. The song was great, but the lighting that went with the song just make the experience all the more impactful. Great lighting does this! At that moment, I knew I had to meet the guy who programed this lighting show. Let’s get plugged into leadership and meet the man behind the show and get some insight from him. … More Insight from The Cove Church’s, Michael Conda

Lead, to Change violence Part 1

When I was in elementary school I would wear a very stylish, bright orange camo looking hunting hat. I thought it was the coolest hat a kid could own. It was bright, loud and drew lots of attention. It was so awesome that nearly every day at recess, a group of kids took the hat from me and played a game of keep away. I reasoned that they really liked the hat as much as I did and that is why they wanted it so much. It wasn’t until my very astute brother pointed out, while I was crying about how I hated how they took my hat and wished they would get their own instead of taking mine, that they only took it because I would feverishly chase after them to get my hat back. Shortly, after I stopped chasing them around the school yard to get my hat back, and just left them alone, the hat thieves stopped their actions and moved on to other things. What can this story tell us about leading? Let’s get plugged into leadership to find out. … More Lead, to Change violence Part 1

My Resume SUCKS, but I do not!

Maybe like me, you struggle with self-worth every once and a while. Honestly, self-worth is something I have struggled with since middle school. This was compounded by the series of awful nicknames I had as a kid. Guitar nose, Ichabod Crain, and others didn’t help my self-worth. Despite being called some pretty terrible names in school, Jesus found me towards the end of my middle school career. Knowing that I was worth the death of Jesus Christ changed a lot for me. Sure people still made fun of me throughout school, and even after, but I pressed into my relationship with God the creator. … More My Resume SUCKS, but I do not!

Beliefs I had to Change to Lead

Do you sometimes feel stuck in life? I do, and I found that most of the time, I it’s because I am holding on to wrong beliefs.

I have 2 kids, and believe it or not I once was a kid. I asked my son how old he thought I was the other day and he said 20. I thought that was pretty good, till I asked him how old he thought Grandma and Papa were. He said 22. Kids believe the most unbelievable things don’t they? When I was a kid there was a song by an R&B group called “Push It”. Great song. But when I was a kid and first exposed to this song, I believed they said, “Ah Smush it”. My brother to this day won’t let me live that down. … More Beliefs I had to Change to Lead
